Century Automation, a Tooling Tech Group company and provider of automation solutions, secondary tooling, and fixtures for industrial applications such as assembly, bonding, routing, drilling, welding, and fastening, has announced the hiring of Randy Tackett as business development manager. Tackett will be responsible for expanding the company’s sales of customized automation solutions across North America and for managing communication between customers and internal application engineers to ensure development of optimal solutions.
Tackett has nearly 30 years’ experience across managerial and sales within the automation sector, providing him insight into every step of the process involved in designing and manufacturing an automated solution, as well as experience in serving OEM and Tier One companies. Most recently, he was regional sales manager for Krauss Maffei (Florence, KY) with a proven record for establishing and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
His education includes a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering / computer electronics from Eastern Kentucky University.
