Tooling Tech Group (TTG), a leading provider of highly engineered tools and automated assembly equipment to a wide range of industries, is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew (Matt) Edwards as its director of operations. In this leadership role, Edwards will oversee the day-to-day activities of the organization, collaborating with all TTG divisions and departments to collectively streamline processes and achieve organizational goals.

Edwards has spent 30 years across a variety of automotive manufacturing positions, especially focused on interiors production over the past 15 years. He began his career as production supervisor for Ford/Visteon, working his way to launch manager and then manufacturing manager before joining Faurecia, where he became production director of the Saline, Mich., plant.
For the past seven years, Edwards was employed by Antolin (Howell, Mich.), most recently serving as general manager in charge of multiple auto interior sites where he was recognized for improving labor efficiencies, scrap performance, parts per million, and quality rejects (PPM and QR) without major customer disruptions.
Edwards holds a Bachelor of Science degree in both Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering as well as a Master of Science in Engineering in Manufacturing Systems, all from the University of Michigan. Additionally, he holds three U.S. patents.
