Tooling Tech Group (TTG), a leading provider of automated assembly equipment and highly engineered tools to a wide range of industries, has announced that it has hired Mark Alfes as general manager for its automated systems offering. Alfes will oversee program management process and systems; support quoting and accounting activity; and work with the sales team to grow business with existing and new customers.

Most recently serving as VP and general manager at Wauseon Machine & Manufacturing, Alfes has a proven record of improving earnings for custom automation and manufacturing companies. He has over 30-years’ experience in the automotive industry with a focus on automation and business development. 

Alfes has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University and a master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is also a Certified Program Management Professional and completed the Wharton Business School Strategic Business Management Executive Education Program. 

Tooling Tech Group has automation facilities in Mursfreeboro, Tenn., Ft. Loramie, Ohio and Temperance, Mich.
