Project management of assigned tools, including identifying and communicating design issues with work center supervisor and engineering, and allocating resources to meet scheduled deadlines. Manual machining of tool components according to specifications and within tolerance. Fitting of tool components into final build. Checking and ensuring that tool will function correctly and produce acceptable parts prior to shipment.
This position involves extensive problem solving and decision-making skills. The buildup/repair departments see deadline pressure on a daily basis. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical to this position. The position involves frequent lifting and standing through most of the shift. Regular attendance is required, and considerable overtime is to be expected.
